The OpenGL Performance Characterization (OPC) project group has approved Version 5.0 of Viewperf, two new viewsets, and an updated version of the CDRS viewset. Results based on Viewperf 5.0, the two new viewsets, and the updated CDRS viewset will begin appearing in the next update of this site in June.

With V5.0, Viewperf has been upgraded to provide greater compatibility across different platforms and to support new feature sets. The two new viewsets come from Advanced Visualizer, Alias/Wavefront's software for 3D modeling, animation, rendering, image composition and video output; and Lightscape Technologies' Lightscape Visualization System, which simulates global illumination effects. The CDRS viewset was updated to accommodate changes in Viewperf 5.0.
