Graphics Faster Than Moore

During the SPEC/GPC press conference at Siggraph 2003, Dr. John Hart, associate professor at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a leading researcher on computer graphics and computational topology, showed that graphics processing is exceeding Moore's Law by more than 40 percent.

Hart also explored subjects such as local and global illumination, subsurface scattering, GPU ray tracing, and readback issues.
