Viewperf 12: All new, coming soon -- The SPECgpc group is working to finalize SPECviewperf 12, the first all-new revision of the benchmark in 18 years. It will support OpenGL and Direct X upon release, include the first dynamically generated viewset, and enable new application-based viewsets to be added quickly and simply.

SPECapc thinking big -- SPECapc has big plans. The SolidWorks 2013 benchmark has already been released and next up is Siemens NX. Expected to follow: 3ds Max, Maya, PTC Creo, CATIA V5 and CATIA V6.

A worldwide first, coming soon -- The SPECwpc group is finishing up datasets and working on run and reporting mechanisms for the first comprehensive, system-level benchmark based on professional workstation applications. Find out more, including how to participate.
