GPC Group to Present
The three project groups of the GPC Group will announce new developments
and plans for the future during a press conference and luncheon
at SIGGRAPH '96 in New Orleans. The event will be held Wednesday, August 7 from noon to 1 p.m.
in the Rosedown Room of the Hilton Riverside Hotel.
Highlights of the press conference will be
the public debuts of three new benchmarks:
- The Xlib Playback Benchmark (XPB), the first standardized
benchmark that measures X-server performance based on actual applications,
will be demonstrated running newly developed standard benchmark
files.
- GLperf, the OPC project group's standardized benchmark for
measuring the optimal performance of 2D and 3D graphics primitives
across all platforms, will be demonstrated running on different
operating systems. The OPC project group will also introduce
new viewsets for its Viewperf benchmark.
- The OpenGL port of the Picture-Level Benchmark (PLB) will
be demonstrated running the PLB's standard benchmark files.
