Welcome to 2019 and a look back at 2018
Happy New Year to you and yours. We at SPEC/GWPG wish you good health, prosperity and the best possible graphics and workstation performance in 2019.
As we venture into the new year, we thought it might be good to take a brief look at the major developments in graphics and workstation benchmarking in the 2018 year.
Three new benchmarks debut
Three new benchmarks debuted in 2018, starting with the all-new SPECviewperf 13 in May, SPECapc for Solidworks 2017 in August, and SPECworkstation 3 in late October.
A reminder that all three benchmarks are free to all, except for computer-related product and service vendors that are not members of SPEC/GWPG. So, go ahead and download them to start on the path to better graphics and workstation performance based on the applications that really matter to you.
Go behind the benchmark development curtain
SPEC/GWPG believes that benchmarking should be as open and transparent as possible. Our articles on LinkedIn Pulse go behind the scenes to show you the philosophies, mechanics and people behind benchmarks that relate to your everyday work. Check out all the 2018 articles, as well as those from previous years.
