The OpenGL Performance Characterization (OPC) project group has elected new officers to replace David Ligon, chair, and Rob Putney, vice-chair, both of whom resigned their posts after years of outstanding service to the OPC project group and the GPC organization.

The following officers were elected unanimously at the OPC project group's August 22 meeting in Boulder, Colo. They will serve one-year terms:

Chair -- John Spitzer, Silicon Graphics Inc.
Vice-Chair -- Gary Wiseman, IBM
Secretary/Treasurer -- Tom Fisher, Hewlett-Packard
