SPEC/GWPG OpenGL ES Teleconference

SPEC's Graphics & Workstation Performance Group (SPEC/GWPG) invites all parties interested in open-source, freely available graphics benchmarks for OpenGL ES to participate in a teleconference on Thursday, September 13 at 1 p.m. EDT.

Please contact Bob Cramblitt (bobc@cramco.com; 919-481-4599) to indicate your interest in participation and to receive the dial-in number and PIN for the call.

We are open to all approaches and ideas from OpenGL experts. A good start would be to discuss a benchmark built on SPECviewperf, a standard for measuring graphics system performance based on popular OpenGL applications. While best known as a workstation graphics benchmark, SPECviewperf is an open framework that can be adapted to playback traces of graphics paths for hand-held workloads, including those for navigation, GUI, games, viewers and others. SPEC/GWPG has already run SPECviewperf successfully on a hand-held device.
