The SYS-121H-TNR is 1U rackmount server powered by dual Intel Xeon 5th Gen Emerald Rapids 8592+ processor with 128 cores (2x 64 cores). The server provides more processing power with Hyper-Threading enabled by default in BIOS to enable 256 threads. The system has 32 DIMM slots for DDR5 supports up to 4800MHz speed. The server supports 12x 2.5" hot-swap NVMe drives bays, 2x internal M.2 NVMe drive slots and 2x 1200W Redundant Titanium Level power supplies. The server has hot-plug capability to provide more serviceability and availability.

System supports 32 DIMMs.
The XFS file system provides journaling support for filesystem protection.
The benchmark was run on a single Supermicro 1U Rackmount server with local NVMe storage disks. RAID-0 config was created using the drives and XFS file system was setup on the RAID-0. RHEL-9.2 OS was installed on an internal M.2 NVMe drive. There were no additional external clients or storage devices or network devices were connected to this setup. The SYS-121H-TNR system has dual Intel Xeon 5th Gen Emerald Rapids 8592+ processor (2x 64 cores) and 12 NVMe drives were connected to support lots of disk storage and good storage performance. The testing was done with Hyper-Threading enabled in BIOS to enable 256 threads for more processing power.
None.
This single server setup has a RAID-0 partition created on the local storage drives and XFS file system was created on the RAID. Data gets written directly on to the XFS filesystem and on to the NVMe storage devices. No other external storage device was used.
The benchmark was run on a single Supermicro SYS-121H-TNR server using its
local NVMe drives. No other client systems, or external storage devices or
networking devices were connected to this test system. Benchmarking was done on
Red Hat Enterprise Linux release 9.2 (Plow) using the default kernel
5.14.0-284.11.1.el9_2.x86_64.
The Spectre or Meltdown (CVE-2017-5754,
CVE-2017-5753, CVE-2017-5715) fix were applied to CPU and OS by vendors.
