SPEC Benchmark Workshop 2009 Student Grants

SPEC offers several grants which may be used to cover meals, travel, and/or hotel accommodations to enable students to attend the Benchmark Workshop. Student grants will be awarded based on a combination of need and merit.

Who should apply?

Funding is available to all students (including Ph.D. students) at educational institutions world-wide.

How to apply

To apply, you should submit the following:

  • A completed SPEC Benchmark Workshop 2009 Student Grant Application, included below.
  • A letter of recommendation from your advisor supporting the application, which must address how your participation will relate to your course of study.
  • A short statement (up to one page) describing any research in which you have participated and a list of published papers (if any). If you have a paper accepted for the SPEC Benchmark Workshop 2009, this statement is not required.

Applications are requested as plain English text (no attachments, simple ASCII text in the body of your email message) submitted by email to wtg@spec.org.

The advisor's statement should be sent separately from the student's application and should indicate the student's name in the subject line.

The deadline for applications for student grants is January 9, 2009. Notifications of awards will be sent out via email by January 23, 2009.
